Untamed:how the Wild side of Jesus frees us to live and love with Abandon by Lisa Harper

I really enjoyed this book. Ms. Harper opens your eyes to the fact we keep Jesus in to small of a box. When in fact he is Huge and all encompassing in our lives if we let him be there for us. The book is a interesting blend of personal stories and Bible lessons which you look up after each chapter to answer questions which makes you think even more deeply about what you have read. The whole theory really is God is our Savior he is not a small bit of our life but he is HUGE. He is vicious at times against evil. He is not always a kind man playing with the lambs, But he has a two edge sword which swiftly can kill evil.
He is our protector, our rock, our comfort in times of needs. She points out that Jesus was there for the sinner he was not living in fine dwellings hobnobing with Kings and Pharissees He was with the common man helping and healing them to spread his ministry. That he is the Savior of all men and women.
In todays world we keep Jesus tucked into a little room and only bring him out when we are in trouble. We do not let him take over our lives and live for him. He is our Get out of jail free card to be used as a last resort. That is not how it should be though.
This is a living God,a powerful being who created the world and bothers to love each of us.
Ms. Harper presents this in a powerful personal way in this book. I know i will probably reread this book a few times to get even more out of it. While i looked up each bible reference i did not write down my answers, next time through I will. The big picture here is that Our Savior is magnificent and all encompassing if we just give ourselves to him.
I do recommend this book.

I really love true stories of exploration, especially caves. This book maintains a fast pace and keeps you engrossed. I have read and reread it at least 5 times. I know it is something i could never accomplish and maybe that is why it is so fascinating to me.
This is a story of cave exploration and Cave diving. It tells of the enormous problems of logistics getting things where they need to be and also the losses of life that happens along the way.
It is a engrossing read that is for sure.You feel like you are right there with them experiencing their victories and struggles.
Another good book that i recommend.

A Time to Betray by Reza Kahlii

This book is about a man who loves his country and hates what the Revolutionary Guard and the holy clerics have done to hurt his country. I admire this man, he puts his life on the line and the life of his family and friends to try to help change his country.

It tells of how hard this emotional struggle was, how fearful it was and how hard it was to not tell his family the truth and instead let them think he was part of something they  hated.

 This book catches your attention and don't let go til your finished. If you are at all interested in Islamic affairs and the inner workings you should read this to get a inside peek at how things really are , and not the fairy tale the Government trys to get us to believe.

I would hope that i would have as much courage as him if I ever needed to. But honestly I don't think i could of risked putting my family to torture.
I recommend this book.

The Shack

This is a amazing story that i read a few months ago. I couldn't put the book down til i finished it. It is about loosing a child in a horrific way and the struggles they  go through til the father gets a mysterious message telling him to go to the Shack. The things that happens there is amazing in and of themselves. I do not want to give away the ending but you will be blown away in astonishment. If you could only buy one book this year, I think this is one i would recommend the most.

Heaven is for Real by Todd Burpo

This is a amazing story It actually made me cry. It is about a little boy who got very sick and spent time in heaven. I totally believe what he describes actually happened to this little boy. After reading this book heaven will be so much more real to you. He told of things he had no way of ever knowing.yet was able to describe in great details. It gave me a closer relationship with God because he became much more real to me, no longer a distant uncle but now like my real father.At the end of the story it references another little girl who journeyed to heaven , please definately take time to go to that web page and look at her painting of Jesus. It gave me chills.

I am just reading this book .it is a true story about a man being taken to he'll n brought back by Jesus so he could tell people about hell and how horrible it is and how much Jesus loves each of us and doesn't want us to go there .
Hell is a real place and it is something I really had not thought much about lately but I do know I do not want anyone I know to go there so please take a minute to think about your life and hell if you died in two seconds where would you want to go?the bible supports hell as being a real place Jesus can save each of us if we just believe and ask him to and ask for forgiveness please take time today to think about your eternal life and where you want to spend it I love you all,lisa
